Heaven Sent was first formed in September 2003. At that time the band consisted of Rosalind on flute, Amy on saxophone, Alice and Steven on clarinet and two other members who are now at University. All of us are from the local villages of Scotby, Cumwhinton, Cotehill and Wetheral. We first played at a Sixties Dance Night in the small village of Wetheral, in the Eden valley, and it was after this event that we decided to make a CD. Alice came up with the name "Heaven Sent" which seems to have stayed. with us. We played regularly in our local Church and also at other local Christian venues in the area. In January 2004 we started rehearsing for this our first CD. Tom, on guitar and Chris, on 'cello, joined us later on in the year making the group complete. We all chose which songs to play and set about putting our programme together.Our aim was to select songs which reflected, as the seasons do, the ever changing experiences along our Christian walk.
